Today Christian Kingombe’s group session on ‘Session 2’ explored the concept of stewardship versus ownership in business, with a focus on how God’s perspective shapes our relationship with our business and the world around us.

Adam and Eve didn’t create the Garden of Eden. They cultivated it.
Instead of owning it, they stewarded it. And that’s what Faith Driven Entrepreneur can do with businesses as well.
We understand that God has entrusted resources to us to steward effectively according to his purposes rather than our own.

In a sense, we are cooks in God’s kitchen. That means this business idea is a gift from God, and he is asking us to partner with him in building it and making it prosper—not for the sake of the business itself, but for the world around us.

Today we focused on the difference between ownership and stewardship and why knowing the difference as a Christian is crucial. Then our group discussed these three questions:

  1. Is God the majority shareholder in your business?
What does that look like both practically and in our heart posture?
  2. What are some of the tough lessons and learnings God has given you?
  3. What do you think God’s purpose is for these scars?
Looking back on it now, why do you think God has given you these skills and experiences?

Pronouns matter. So often we unknowingly put the words “my” and “mine” in front of words like team and business.
How do these pronouns sometimes reflect our heart posture?

Blessings on your time this week.
