Rethinking Resource Mobilisation to Achieve the Global “Survival” Goals

Geneva, Switzerland | Friday, 16 January 2026

4IP Group, in collaboration with the Global Rethinking Finance Collaborative (GRFC), hosted a high-level hybrid seminar titled “Rethinking Resource Mobilisation to achieve the Global ‘Survival’ Goals” on Friday, 16 January 2026, at Maison de la Paix, Geneva.

Held in the lead-up to the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, the event brought together finance, development, and policy leaders to reflect on the growing urgency for financial systems that can respond effectively to today’s interconnected global challenges.

From Financial Theory to Real-World Impact

At a time when traditional institutions were increasingly struggling to maintain relevance, the seminar explored how finance must evolve from theory to practice if it is to genuinely serve people, planet, and peace. Discussions focused on breaking down silos, improving resource mobilisation, and building coalitions capable of delivering tangible, systemic impact.

Drawing on insights from the GRFC Futures Fairs and years of practical, on-the-ground experience, speakers examined how innovative financial approaches can unlock growth for entrepreneurs while supporting inclusive development and long-term resilience—core themes within sustainable finance and impact investing.

A Tribute to Leadership in Sustainable Finance

The event also served as a tribute to Beris Gwynne, recognising her more than 16 years of shaping Geneva’s sustainable finance ecosystem as she prepared to return to Australia.
