Capital Raising Capacity Building for Kinshasa Innovation Centre
The Kinshasa-based Innovative Centre (KIC) is an initiative by The DRC-Swiss Chamber of Commerce which received a grant from SDC with the aim of promoting youth entrepreneurs in Kinshasa, DRC by supporting them with useful tools / approaches which are necessary for the creation of enterprise.
The objectives were to: Stimulate and promote innovation and creativity in DRC and supporting the entrepreneurial culture in DRC through the implementation of a number of training modules Incubation – to allow the identification and incubation and maturing of innovative ideas Expertise – support the transfer of technology and expertise between the University of Geneva and Academic institutions in DRC.
In October 2020 4IP Group, through Christian Kingombe, provided a capacity building seminar on capital raising practices for the 16 participants selected based on a rigorous and competitive process.
In November 2022 4IP Group together with KIC organized a mooc pitching on-line trial event in collaboration with the CFO of Leonie Hill Capital, Ms. Deniz Erkus, where around 10 of the most promising graduates (Tech Venture Founders) from the 2nd badge of the KIC-2 capacity building incubation programme funded by UNDP pitched and received pitching advise from Christian Kingombe and Deniz Erkus.
